First of all, I’m Brazilian.
Summing up the situation, Brazil is currently going through the period of presidential elections, and is in the second round, where two candidates are running for president. Maybe you've already seen one of the two somewhere, one of them is Jair Bolsonaro, and the other is Luiz Inácio (known as “Lula”). I will not go into details about Jair Bolsonaro, he is a candidate with international support for Trump and avowedly on the “right side”, he has served as president for the last four years. The problem is about the other candidate, Lula, who is winning in total number of votes. Everything indicates that, in fact, he will become president of Brazil. His party ruled the country for many years before Jair Bolsonaro, and ignoring all the corruption scandals, it has always been a party turned to a socialist side, benefiting the poorest with financial assistance and other means. The government of Jair Bolsonaro, as much as it had its flaws, was always more focused on economic growth, something that, arguably, was better executed than in Lula's party. However, Lula appears to be much more radical in his socialist ideas, making contestable claims, such as in a video where he said “If Bolsonaro has pleased the economy, I will DISPLEASE the economy” and other regulatory statements, such as the claim that he will regulate Bitcoin in Brazil. The Brazilian economic situation is not something to be called decent, and many Brazilians are afraid that Brazil will become a “new Argentina”. Perfectly justifiable, considering that the current president of Argentina, responsible for the country's bad financial situation, is an ally of Lula and has almost identical ideas. Every month, the currency of Brazil (REAL) is increasingly devalued, and with Lula in the Presidency, with socialist ideas and controlling promises, we could witness something devastating for the Brazilian economy. If I could make a recommendation for all Brazilians right now, it is to withdraw some (if not all) government investments, and save some in Bitcoin, without forgetting to move to the wallet after buying with the exchange. The situation is very, very complicated, honestly. We don't know what can happen. We're just praying for the least worst situation.
EDIT: Apparently, people in the comments are randomly assuming that I’m a Bolsonaro fanboy or some shit. I didn't vote for Bolsonaro, I voted for NOVO (Felipe), even if it represents a very small amount of votes. If you’re offended about my criticism of Lula, I'm sorry, is gonna happen again.
