With the recent outrage about ledger I recently moved my portfolio off my device. In doing so, I was reminded just how fucking slow btc actually is.
I get the idea that modern banking takes 3-5 business days to settle transactions but I’m not comparing btc to our banking system. When I transferred my Ethereum it was in my wallet within seconds. My Bitcoin took nearly 30 mins to transfer. This is even with the fastest tx fee for Bitcoin and the middle choice for speed with Ethereum.
I understand btc maxi and why they hate any alt coin. Theoretically Bitcoin is the only crypto that both the SEC and CFTC have agreed is a commodity. Btc also doesn’t promise to be anything besides what it is. But man, it’s nice to be reminded why other projects exist.
My Bitcoin transfer was nearly 4$ while my eth was nearly 8$ which definitely should be mentioned.
