We can get into the specifics about what makes Coin A better than Coin B, but that isn't going to help anyone. Telling everyone, "Oh hey, bitcoin is scalable now." is a different story, especially when you can find stories like this one all over the Bitcoin subreddit where people can and do buy things with bitcoin on lightning, it should be sending signals to everyone out there: https://youtu.be/SPL6jDKqWY0
Personally, I'm really looking forward to smart contracts on Lightning to really move to the front of lightning development. There's a wallet for your web browser (I think it's on Chrome and Firefox, but I use the firefox one now) called "Albee" and websites that have lightning integration can fire it up just like your metamask wallet gets fired up on some websites powered by ETH, MATIC, BSC, etc.
And for those of you who are wondering about what kind of lightning wallets are out there: I personally use Phoenix Wallet - which is non-custodial in nature. Another good one is called Muun.
Oh, and last but not least, the more people who use lightning by default, the more robust and fool-proof the lightning network becomes.
