BTC VS standard ETF

Wrote the following in that other thread misunderstanding that the OP talked about BTC ETFs and not standard ETFs like the SP500, so let me recycle what I wrote here:

People bring the point of self custody which is great, you remove trust compared to an ETF. But from an investment perspective there are other advantages.

The companies in your ETF can create more shares and dilute yours. You're also not investing in the entire economy in a neutral manner: you're only buying stock from the largest American companies, including some extremely unethical ones. If you want to build a balanced ETF portfolio by also including other countries and smaller companies while excluding the worst ones (and possibly add bonds to the mix) and trying to minimise management fees, it becomes an organisational nightmare.

All of those disadvantages are not there with Bitcoin: you completely avoid any inflation in a neutral and simple manner
