For those who don't know BTCPay Server is an open-source payment processing server using Bitcoin + Lightning that works amazingly well and makes it very easy to accept donations or payments, no KYC, no centralized service, no shenanigans, nada.
Bitcoin getting adopted can be attributed in some part on these amazing devs.
If I remember correctly, the author went down the rabbit hole of building BTCPayServer after not feeling satisfied with what was available, particularly BitPay or some other solution (happy to get corrected on this and I will edit the post).
