I was curious to see how long after the halving BTC price reaches its next ATH. Taking information from previous halvings led me to this plot: The red line represents the date of the halving, and the black dots represent when the ATH was established. On average, these have been apart 480 days. Considering the 2016 and 2020 events, this average goes to around 536 days. Some sources (https://buybitcoinworldwide.com/halving/) say that the next halving will happen 251 days from now, putting us on the 16th of April, 2024. Considering the averages above, that would put the next ATH happening between the 9th of August, 2025 and the 4th of October, 2025, or around two years from now. That would mean that in two years we'll either be fools or in profit for not buying at today's prices. I do not dare to say which price will it be. Some people have been blasting this or that, but at this point it's just speculation, and many geopolitical events could influence on everything. This very estimate I've made is likely wrong, and we can see a new ATH after that, or even before. Let's see! What do you people think in terms of timeframe and price? It would be fun to come back to this post and see the answers. [link] [comments] |
