Business Idea: Mining Farm Heated Swimming Pool

I know this title sounds like comedy, but it isn’t.

Deep Green a London based company is placing data centers under swimming pools to heat swimming pools.

Deep Green submerges its computers in mineral oil inside a washing machine-sized box. The “digital boiler” is then installed under the pool. The hardware heats the mineral oil, which is then pumped into a heat exchanger to warm the pool.

Why can’t the same thing be done with mining rigs? Install mining rigs under a community pool owned by a city/township. Write off a decent portion of the electricity bill as a charitable contribution to the city/township’s pool in the form of heat.

One thing that crypto miners are good at is finding tax breaks and trying to make mining profitable with the high price of electricity in many areas. Crypto miners have done some innovative mining ideas in the past including harness the geothermal power of volcanos, using the excess heat to provide a towns hot water supply, to using the hot air from cooling a mining farm to dry wood, to using the heat from mining to heat greenhouses. Using the heat to heat a swimming pool is not far fetched.
