Can we take a moment to appreciate how Bitcoin just casually pulled off one of the biggest upgrades ever?

Taproot upgrade went through and Bitcoin kept working next minute like nothing even happened. There was not even a single minute of disruption. The efficiency of Bitcoin's decentralization is incredible.

Taproot got voted in by the BTC network with more than 95% of approval. It was done by soft fork like all BTC upgrades. That means even old non upgraded nodes will be able to work without any problem. Old nodes can upgrade whenever they want to do it. Bitcoin decentralization has no match. It has 25 times more nodes than any altcoin and still manages to be the most secure and efficient by far.

Compare it to how governments debate and do lobbying and dirty politics behind closed doors for months just to print trillions of dollars new money again and fuck taxpayers over and over. It's polar opposite of the way Bitcoin works.

Quick highlights of Taproot - New Bitcoin signature algorithm and scripting language added, improved privacy, security, scalability and smart contracts capabilities. Bitcoin will no longer have data size limit for smart contracts, and the code Bitcoin developers use can be changed and upgraded on a continual basis for easier programming.
