Cashapp crypto issue

So I send money from my exodus wallet to my cash app and it said that it was unable to deposit. So I reversed the transaction and it reversed it to a random address I’ve never seen before how would this happen? I know I’m just screwed but I’ve mistakenly deleted a number before sending Bitcoin before and learned that you just can’t get it back but this address is nothing close to any of my addresses and I double checked when I sent it. Any ideas?
