"Chainalysis" scam - does anybody have similar experience?

All Cryptocurrencies

by COINS NEWS 70 Views

Hi,

in the past few days I received a lot of cold calls from a cell phone number what appears to be Hungarian but obviously is fake. They are always randomly assigned to the caller and disabled after the end of the call.

A lady called me and told me that they are making an investigation and they found 1,5 BTC in a wallet with my name and email address and they want to return it to me. After that she sent me an email with the details - I have to pay a minimum of 500 Euro fee and after that they will send me the money. She is not a native English speaker and there was a lot of noise in the background, so to me it seems to be a team of scammers, making cold calls and sending out emails non-stop.
They called me at least a dozen times since then, all calls were coming from a different random Hungarian number. I don't know how they got my phone number and email address. I have never in my life used a BTC wallet.
I already tried to contact the real company with this name.
