Hi all, recently I read a comment about LINK that prompted me to do my own research about LINK. I was surprised and started my own bag as a result.
Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network. Chainlink uses open-source blockchain tech in order to make computations on and off chain securely, supporting ‘hybrid smart contracts.’ Enterprises using Chainlink can access any major blockchain like Ethereum or Solana (provided it isn’t down lol)
What are oracles? These are services that connect smart contracts with the outside world, both taking information in from the outside and also outputting info from the blockchain. Inputs come from multiple sources so as to be decentralized (info from a single source is centralized and thus could lead to manipulation of data).
So chainlink is a hub that takes information from multiple outside sources, enables it to interact with smart contracts and then communicate that info back with the outside world.
One thing that has me pretty bullish for LINK is the same reason I’m bullish on ATOM: interoperability. Chainlink can connect blockchain platforms to support the exchange of messages, tokens, and specific actions… and I’m a believer that many chains will coexist.
I’m curious to hear what others think about LINK? Bullish, bearish, crabbish?
