Why are we sticking to sha256 when it's become too expensive for an average person to mine rather most miners nowadays are companies or people with the allowance to spend thousands on a miner, electricity, and fitting your house to handle the power draw. Could we change the algo to a more asic resistant one so anybody could mine bitcoin with a graphics card and a cpu can mine. It seems there is now a threshold that you need to meet in order to own any bitcoin.
If you disagree then why should we stay on this algorithm?
