China's dystopian current use of CBDCs should be a reminder we have to fight as hard as we can against governments trying to push them upon us.

So in parts of China, CBDCs are already linked to people's personal digital IDs. If you get caught speeding in that area, they instantly fine you and deduce the amount of fine from your digital wallet by their surveillance system. People that are caught jaywalking in that area, facial recognition system displays their face on a public screen as sort of public shaming, and then automatically deducts amount of money from your digital wallet.

As another example of possible dystopian future that could be presented with introduction of global CBDCs is an example of Brazil: https://decrypt.co/148786/brazil-cbdc-allows-central-bank-freeze-funds-adjust-balances . So basically Brazilian CBDCs will allow the government to completely freeze their funds. This is exact opposite of what Satoshi's vision was, and what cryptos are all about. In US, politicians like Elizabeth Warren and various other political figures have been trying to push this idea of CBDCs for a very long time, presenting them as something positive, and it is a very slippery slope if people don't fight against the introduction of them.
