Coinbase finally supporting tokens on blockchains other than Ethereum

All Cryptocurrencies

TL;DR: Over the next month, eligible Coinbase customers will be able to send and receive ETH, MATIC, and USDC on Polygon, and USDC on Solana. The Polygon integration marks the first time Coinbase has enabled the ability to send and receive these assets on an L2.

Big news for me. I'm heavy into defi and having to eat hefty Ethereum fees to withdraw USDC was what made me migrate to Binance and FTX. It's also what turned me off from using their Direct Deposit option despite it saving me 5-12 days on being able to withdraw my crypto whenever I buy each paycheck.

I wish they more clearly defined what makes one "eligible" and why it's not just a thing like how on Binance and FTX you can withdraw to other chains and it's just a universal thing for everyone, but it's a good start.
