Considering how frequently crypto is used for scams, I think only way to save its' reputation is to stick to the narrative of decentralization.

I do not need to mention how hated crypto is among common folks and govs. The main argument is (rightfully) the amount of scams. We can't do much about that. And honestly the amount of scams will only grow. Vast majority enters crypto for quick gains and many willingly buy coins that most likely are scams. Casinos and gamblers don't have good reputation for a reason. It's understandable that crypto doesn't have it too. I think the only big adventage of crypto that can speak to the masses is actually owning the wealth. Especially given current events. So if somebody asks you: "Why are you into crypto so much?" Just tell them about the decentralization. Right now that is the only reasonable argument for that.
