Convince me to buy Bitcoin

I’m a passive investor.

My portfolio is over 90% index funds and I allocate a very small position to individual stocks of companies that I like. I guess you could call me a Boglehead.

I figure, at least with these individual companies I am able to see their products, review their earnings, and I personally see people using their services daily.

I have become a little more interested in crypto, however I have only ever dabbled in it once before, over two years ago, where I lost money on Doge coin. I know. I know.

I would like a safer investment in the space, which at this time I believe would be bitcoin.

Without being a car salesman, I would appreciate if you guys could make it more obvious to me why bitcoin would be valuable as part of my portfolio and the use and applications of it.

And hey, if you’re transparent, feel free to point out the drawbacks too.
