Cosmos (ATOM) - January Update

Welcome back, everyone.

I am here with the numbers and some background information regarding the Cosmos ecosystem. Everything in the Cosmos ecosystem is hitting ATH right now and those who got in after my last post should be way in the green already.

Cosmos Roadmap: Next Upgrade by the end of Q1, bringin interchain accounts, liquid staking and meta transactions.

Cosmos Ecosystem Market Cap: 71.3 Billion at time of writing

Connected Chains: 30+ (you will only see 28 on mapofzones, but it is always lagging behind a bit and not showing chains such as LUM, Desmos etc.)

IBC Transfers (meaning cross chain transfers): 150k daily / 1.1-1.5 mio weekly / 4 mio monthly

TVL: Because there are so many chains it is a little harder to estimate, but it should be around 20-25 billion total value locked

-> BNB is excluded in these numbers as it is not connected to the Cosmos ecosystem despite having been built with the Cosmos SDK.

What is going on in the ecosystem right now? It is airdrop season. Those who are eligible for Stargaze can claim there tokens on the 17th. Moreover, Kava is joining the IBC gang on the 19th and heavily incentivising ATOM lending on their platform right after the fact.
