Could A Bitcoin Armada Mine Hurricanes?

Hurricanes are free energy. Massive amounts of it.

Is it doable to put some windmills on the back of a container ship, sail out to the edge of a nascent tropical storm, and use that energy to stack some sweet, sweet, climaticalologically beneficial sats?

So long as it can be done profitably by one ship, we could have an entire aramada of bitcoin mining vessels, captained by salty sea dogs who earn a living by stealing energy from tropical storms and hurricanes.

A typical wind turbine produces ~3 MW of power. Assuming 140 TH/s for a 3KW miner, a single windmill could power 140k TH/s with 3 MW of power, leading to a gain at current rates of $10,000/day for a single turbine.

The wind turbine blades are currently something like 50 M long. Maybe instead of having them stand upright on the tower, you could stack them vertically, so that axis of rotation extends upwards, out of a ship. That might let you more than one on single boat. Maybe if you did it right, the spinning blades could be used to generate lift, pulling the boats slight up out of the water.

At this point on the analysis, i'm out of my depth. But i love this image - a bunch of bitcoin 'pirates' stationed in puerto rico, and when a tropical storm spins up, the priates race to suck energy out of it. With enough of these boats, I can imagine us having the ability to stop tropical storms before they turn into hurricanes, by sucking the energy out of them.
