Could Eth 2.0 be tightly linked to the Metaverse?

I know that a lot of projects within crypto are made for the Metaverse specifically, like Sandbow, Mana, Suku world and GMT, etc, but the question that Eth is the best candidate surprisingly still has not risen. So, here I am asking, could Eth 2.0 be tightly linked to the Metaverse?

Eth works great for pretty much all, and it has, for a long time now. I saw it go from a crypto project complimentary to Bitcoin, to becoming one of the most versatile tools in crypto today. It’s literally used for pretty much everything, despite all the issues it is facing, and it’s still going.

There's one common denominator among the leading metaverse cryptocurrencies -- the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum is a metaverse magnet because of the widespread adoption of its blockchain and support for smart contracts. Perhaps Ethereum won't be the biggest winner among metaverse cryptocurrencies, but it's a pretty good bet to be one of the winners.

Ethereum has a stronger metaverse connection than you might think. Cryptocurrencies and the metaverse. It sounds like a match made in investors' heaven. Both could offer tremendous growth prospects over the next decade and beyond.

Unsurprisingly, investors are already placing their bets on the intensifying horse race among metaverse cryptocurrencies. There could be a dark horse in the competition, though. Could Ethereum be the biggest metaverse cryptocurrency winner of all?
