I am not from US but I am afraid of what the SECs unfair handling of the crypto market will do to it. I don't know how it works in the US but could a petition get as far as the governments attention if enough manpower in the form of signees and proposers are behind it?
I heard a very compelling idea of paying the SEC a percentage of earnings on defi (say 2.5%) by platforms or applications to be regulated by a kind of auditor who checks the books for good behaviour. Without any of the complexities involved, that seems like a win-win and should be something to be considered but no one seems to be proposing sensible things like this, instead of driving innovation and money away from the US
