I started about a year ago in crypto. Since then I've done okay, lived through the ups and downs, and haven't sold anything back into fiat.
Nowadays I'm transferring 4 years salary back and forth from Celsius. A bit unnerving but just a regular transaction in the scheme of things. I played around with some shitcoins earlier this month and lost a couple months salary. Bought into something a few days ago and made most of it back. Ho-hum.
Yesterday a hose in my bathroom broke and I was at the hardware store to replace it. Here's a good one for $6! Oh, wait this one is $4. Is the $6 one better? I must have stood there for 10 minutes contemplating the $2 difference.
Is there a psychological phenomenon for this? Numbers on a screen in my bank account are a big deal but in my crypto account not so much. Is it because the numbers are so surreal that I can't comprehend it? Anyone else feel this way?
