Crypto Scammers are now even faking driving licences to impersonate other people/celebrities. Stay safe out there, now more than ever.

Scammers and Crypto, tell me a better duo? Since last year it has become very apparent that instead of scams actually decreasing in a bear market, they are just increasing even more. While doing so, now scammers are coming up with the newest techniques, especially as many people that stayed during the bear market are way smarter and more experienced in this space.

So it is obvious that just making a new Twitter profile in the name of a Crypto influencer won‘t make the cut anymore. People are quick to realise what is a scam and what not, just as in this situation:

Here a scammer is trying to impersonate the popular Crypto youtuber and influencer, Coin Bureau (800k+ Twitter followers). And of course the reasoning for a person like Coin Bureau to use a completely different private account, but with the same name, is that there are too “many messages and requests on my main page“.

Thankfully, the person what quick to realise that it was a scammer and called it out immediately. Now comes in the new technique of using a fake driver licence, or actually just taking a picture of a real one and just photoshopping a picture of the impersonator on it. Truly creative.

Reaction of Coin Bureau himself

Even Coin Bureau himself called it and makes jokes about. But that also is just one example of how scammers are adopting new ways to seem more legit. Now in a bear market people will get on to that easier, but in a bull market many will probably actually fall for that. So stay safe and more importantly also warn others.
