I don't know how I got into a rabbit hole, but it started off by reading this (lol) then I got onto the topic of common internet scams in the early 2000s, then I just kept progressing from there.
I later went to this (read it, some of it is educational in terms of preventing getting scammed) article and found out about some scams I didn't even know were a thing.
However, what every article fails to mention is the person who scammed someone, how do you feel after? Did anything legal happen to you? I know it's slim as is. Was it an act of revenge?
Couldn't somebody could get sent BTC to a self-controlled without KYC, exchange it into XMR, send it around, and never be caught... to my understanding? What's the solution for this? Some people truly believe Crypto is only used for scamming people. Mass adoption needs to happen, but we got some flaws and most aren't ready to be their own bank.
I am not encouraging you to scam anybody, matter of fact, read the comments from the 'scammers' (if any come forward and take what they say from an educational standpoint to not get scammed. NFA.)
