Cryptocurrency Academic Research

This survey is part of a study aiming to identify the public’s perception of cryptocurrency’s classification. Current research regarding cryptocurrency has focused on the intrinsic and extrinsic characteristics that contribute to preexisting classifications: a speculative asset versus a viable currency. This study takes a different approach to analyze the same overarching topic – how cryptocurrency’s increasing popularity will impact monetary transactions. Through a 24-question survey, I will attempt to gauge the public’s overall perception of cryptocurrency. Your responses and viewpoints will help shape our understanding of cryptocurrency’s classification and help to draw conjectures of overall societal trends regarding the movement to a cryptocurrency-based monetary society.
