Ethereum and other blockchain platforms as a whole are at a point, where Linux was in the 90s. Much like Linux, open source blockchain is seeing wide adaptation and a range of applications. At a vital point of time like this, the platform could really use some more developers.
When Dapps emerge as large companies, they would start focusing on developing and bettering the platform they rely on so much and would allocate valuable resources and engineers to do the job. Much like what Google and Facebook do with open source projects.
Possible pros would be, updates like Ethereum 2.0 would be released faster, the platform would be much more secure (million eyes logic) and the list goes on.
Possible cons would be the emergence of some amount of centralisation in ethereum community influencing decisions.
What do you guys think, what is your take on this ?
