I'm writing this as thoughts are still fresh in mind.
This will be a stream on consciousness post. Apologies ahead of time for the spelling and grammar mistakes, as well as the lack of diplomatic language, as I try to get to the point.
The Bitcoin 2022 virtual conference was infiltrated heavily by shitcoiners and their ilk.
The Physical Bitcoin 2022 conference however, was apparently great. (I could not attend, so was relegated to the virtual conference livestream).
To be clear there were two conferences happening at the same time here. A virtual one, via the livestreams (main stage and mining stage). And the physical one, which had access to everything.
It's important to understand that no one who attended the physical conference attended the virtual version of this conference, and vice versa.
therefore, these were separate and entirely different experiences for different audiences.
People who attended physically had the optionality to drop the bullshit being shilled on the main stage by people like oleary and novogratz. They instead had the option to go to other stages with higher bitcoin signal stages, like the genesis stage and the open source stage.
And despite Bitcoin magazine apparently paying 1 million dollars to stream this conference;
there was no quality official livestream for these high signal Bitcoin stages
the audio was bad all around, popcorn noises on the mainstage, and under water feeling on that and other stages
Thus, the virtual audience was for the most part trapped watching the main stage, forced to watch crypto bullshiter after shitcoin bullshiter spew their lies and drivel.
From my perspective, the physical conference is using the main stage as a containment vessel for all the shitcoin bullshit.
An effective strategy. As many who attended the physical conference came away from it happy, convinced it was a Bitcoin conference.
This same optionality and containment strategy should be deployed to the virtual livestream event as well.
Please do not boost the bullshit signal of the main stage into the primary livestream where many more people are watching globally than attending the conference.
There's lots of ways to manage the shitcoin infiltrators:
a producer could have switched the main feed to the bitcoin mining stage for example when oleary was spewing off his shitcoin list.
the mainstage could be less promoted virtually and the genesis stage and open source stage could be promoted more (please ad them as primary livestreams, they're even higher signal than the mining stage!)
play off oscar music for speakers when they get out of hand, cutting their mics, guerilla action by the audience, may be warranted in cases where shitcoiners deny the 21 million hardcap, assert that shitcoins are faster and/or smaller than lightning, or start shilling for their pet shitcoin.
You may need a Bitcoin signal enforcer/producer to enforce actions against heretics when they get out of line.
It would be simpler if you still use the main stage as a containment chamber for the shitcoiners, and just not livestream the bullshiters/change the channel to the genesis stage when they get bullshitty. PLEASE DO THIS.
Lastly, thank you for wising up and enabling community moderators in your livestream chat on the last day of the event after your channel was taken down by YouTube.
the livestream chats during the first two days were not moderated at all and spammed by shitcoiners and anti bitcoin shills.
it was absolute bedlam to behold.
I begged you guys twice to hand us mod powers to deal with this, but I suspect you were all too busy in meat space to notice our plea's for relief.
In any case, I suspect this is why your channel was ultimately removed by YouTube briefly. They hold you accountable for your chat being full of shitcoiners and scammers. It's in their terms of service. good on them.
Bad on your for just noticing after your account gets removed by YouTube.
Please deputize community mods for the chat in future livestreams of this magnitude, like you did on the last day, too late.
So who are the infiltrators? everyone has a different standard for this.
Mine is anyone promoting or suggesting, nfts, blockchain, crypto, defi, shitcoins, or stablecoins.
These are not Bitcoin, even if they use Bitcoin.
All of these are 3rd party middle men enablers.
They are distractions and subversive elements to the Bitcoin ethos and should be treated as such,
with extreme prejudice, skepticism and derision.
