I set up a Native SegWit wallet on Sparrow for my kid (24 words and a pass phrase). I took the Xpub and loaded the watch-only address and added it to their phone using BlueWallet so they could keep an eye on it.
I didn’t pay close attention to the addresses to make sure they matched. I sent their Bitcoin to the Xpud watch only address. What I can see now is that the address from the watch only are all legacy addresses (starting with 1) and clearly different than the SegWit wallet on Sparrow.
I entered my seed phrase ase back into sparrow but this time setting it up as a legacy wallet and I got an entirely different wallet with a different Xpub and zero balance.
Did I lose my Bitcoin?
