I know I’m probably not phrasing the question properly, but I’ve had this thought that if I were to start solo mining with an S9 or something, would I have to program the S9 to not just simply start trying to guess the nonce starting at 1, 2, 3, etc.?
Wouldn’t big pools of hash power already have guessed 1, 2, 3, and then wouldn’t I just be guessing the numbers they already guessed. This assumes miners would guess linearly starting at 1. Do miners guess for the nonce linearly? Are there industry standards for guessing the nonce?
Sorry for the dumb question
