For a long time, we bitcoiners have had dreams about never selling your bitcoin and borrowing against it to live off or use it for something else. I know the ETFs aren't like owning your bitcoin but theoretically if you were to buy BTC etfs and plan to hold it for a long term, can't you now use margin loan (with reasonable loan to value ratio) to live of it/buy house/etc?
And this could be with a safe, regulated, and reliable companies like IBKR/Charles Shwab/Fidelity vs some crypto company where you would you have to deposit your spot BTC to use as a collateral and hope they don't run off with it or invest it elsewhere (hello celsius). So if in 10-20 years your btc etfs were worth say like over 500k, then you could borrow at like 25-30% loan-to-value ratio and safely use it for whatever.
