Do we have any power against the whales?

There have been a lot of rumblings that this recent crash was market manipulation, either from the hands of Whales, or the CEX'es themselves.

Do we have any power against them? In my mind, they don't seem to be any different from the hedgefunds in the stock market. Couldn't our collective might create a GME situation to provide stability against the whales?

It seems to me that crypto has a serious problem if whales dictate how the game works, and retail investors are powerless to do anything but go along with the ride. GME has shown me that the collective might of the masses has enough power to actually have an impact on the market.
