Do you care whether your politicians are into crypto?

All Cryptocurrencies

Reading how Srettha Thavisin was appointed as Thailand’s next Prime Minister and pledged to give each Thai citizen an airdrop of 10k Baht reminded me of pro-crypto politicians. Earlier this year, former U.S. presidential candidate and House of Representative member Tulsi Gabbard, as well as current presidental candidates, Robert Kennedy Jr. and Republican Vivek Ramaswamy made public their affinity for cryptocurrency, specifically their pro-BTC position.

Of course, whether a politician supports or opposes crypto is a small drop of water in the grand scheme of things. When we think about political leaders, we look at their track record and ability to relate to the common man. Whether they can marshal their country out of the economic doldrums. But since crypto adoption is increasingly prevalent in our lives, especially with the tussle between CBDCs and cryptocurrencies, do you think there will come a day in which politicians invested in crypto will gain a slight edge over their competitors in your country? Or should crypto be divorced from politics?
