They say the worst question is the one you don't ask, so there it is.
First, let me state that I am not overly concerned. I have my bag, and will continue to DCA.
I just find it odd that the institutions are buying this insane amount of BTC from the OTC market, assumed from whales with large bags to sell.
If we are on the verge of a halving and bigger than ever supply crunch, why would the whales of all people be the ones selling? The whales became whales for a reason, and would know the potential run coming. They shouldn't "need" the money if they're sitting on 1000s of BTC. Also, the longer they hold into the "crunch" the more "power" they'd have on the market. One would think they wouldn't want to hand it to the institutions.
Basically what I'm saying, the mass majority of whales aren't idiots. They have the information available that we do and know what we know and then probably more.
Why, do you think, are they the ones selling while retail is moving everything off exchange to cold storage?
