Does it feel like every time you make a move the market moves against you?

I've been in crypto since 01/2021. I've lost 'A LOT' in terms of personal income level and what I could afford. I've gotten wrecked with leverage, I've watched liquidity pools dwindle down, I watched Mobius.Money turn a $300 investment into a $3.00 investment due to an exploit. I've been through it. I won't say there haven't been moments favor found me, but generally things have functioned negatively. I believe in blockchain and I believe that this is the way of the future. Why does it constantly feel any project I believe in immediately starts heading red when I decide I want to be a part of the network. I really really believe in Algorand, but the more I tried to convince myself it was useful and promising the price would drop while others increased. Same can be said with Celo. I'd rather not dive into Terra. But time and time again I feel like I'm giving fair opportunity to up and coming projects only to fall short in the financial investment. Is this natural overall in the crypto world? Am I just on the odd swing of things at the time? I believe it's only a matter of time that my portfolio builds and I'm able to attain life changing wealth. I've watched the markets enough to know volatility is a fickle bitch, but at some point I should catch the right wave right? Pains into gains? Tell me it's coming.
