Does the merge risk to reduce the value of eth?

Hi all.

I'm a beginner, so sorry if this is a silly question.

I was reading this morning a conversation on twitter , where some dudes believe that eth will continue to grow to 20K / 30K and then there will be a major correction next year.

Another guy asked in the conversation "probably good to lock in gain right before the merge before the staked eth becomes liquid and then hop back in?"

My understanding is that with the merge, more people are going to stake since by staking eth they'll become the validators of the transaction. So, if this is the case, with the merge eth should become less liquid and price should increase even more...so, what's the correct answer: more or less liquid after the merge?
