Don't be like me. Make sure you keep a physical copy of your seed/recovery phrases!

Me being an idiot thought I would be fine with having my recovery phrases stored on my phone's notes app and only there.

I presumed my notes would be included in the Google backup so didn't think any more of it.

Until I managed to lose my phone on Sunday, in the pissing wet rain we had for days here in the UK.

My phone switched off (stopped ringing after an hour of me trying to find it) due to getting wet. At this point I started panicking as I realised I had fucked up. Looking into it, the shitty phone had its own notes app which I was using, that isn't included in the backup....

Most of my crypto is on exchanges, so recovery without my phone was fine. But I had a decent chunk on Defi wallets that without my phone/notes I was fucked.

Luckily for me someone found my phone (right next to a bloody puddle) completely soaked and not working - and they handed it into the nearby visitor centre. I managed to get my phone back 2 days later and it magically works without any issues!

However you can be damn sure I now have my seeds/phrases backed up multiple times so I don't shit myself in future!
