Don’t hate on L2s and scaling solutions. They really helped Ethereum thrive.

I love Ethereum. Its my favorite project on the market. And apparently so do many other people since its the second largest project on the market in terms of market cap. However, I have to be realistic and give some props to L2s and scaling solutions for part of that success.

I don’t know when was the first time I used Ethereum without a scaling solution. A lot of transactions wouldn’t even be worth it, rendering the blockchain unusable.

So let’s take a moment and appreciate all the good scaling solutions out there that help Ethereum thrive. I personally think Polygon does a great job considering how much their ecosystem is EVM compatible and how much they contributed to Ethereum’s growth through multiple scaling solutions from ZK Snarks, ZK starks, Optimistic rollups and Plasma.

And even with ETH merging, your favorite scaling solutions won’t be obsolete. In fact, they’re gonna be as important as they ever were and maybe even more.

So don’t hate on them. On the contrary, support scaling solutions.
