Don't let disbelief freeze you

The price action over the coming weeks and months is going to leave you in disbelief at times. Even seasoned veterans have been conditioned to expect cycles—and yes, the cycle is real—but the days of 80% dips are over.

Each cycle has been a stepping stone toward the vertical phase of the S-curve adoption process. If you're unfamiliar with S-curve adoption, look it up—it’s how new technologies like electricity or mobile phones grew. Bitcoin is outpacing the growth rate of the Internet itself. From the moment it was discovered, Bitcoin has been "going parabolic." This next 4-year cycle is likely to move steadily at a 45° angle up and to the right before it power-slides into the parabolic phase, where the curve turns nearly vertical. At that point, cycles won’t matter anymore.

When the world fully realizes what Bitcoin is, the shift will feel like it happens overnight. People will trade their dollars for Bitcoin like their dollars are on fire. By then, it will be too late for many to truly understand the significance of harder money. If you understand the meaning of the word finite and the basic laws of supply and demand, you already have all the information you need.

All fiat currencies are going to depreciate against Bitcoin at an alarming rate. The transition will be painful for a lot of people.

This isn’t meant to be fearmongering, but people who don’t grasp what a truly finite asset represents in today’s economy are going to be left wondering why no one warned them.

So, I’m telling you now.

If you feel a strong emotional reaction to any of this, take a moment to reflect on why. Don’t let those emotions dictate your decisions. Whatever you decide to put into Bitcoin, hold onto it for a while. Be patient, and let it mature. I can’t guarantee it will be worth more than what you paid for it in the short term.

But I can guarantee that the dollars you’re holding will lose value over time.
