Don't you think suing or blaming people that promoted for example FTX is bit unfair? FTX was normal, totally legal company, they literally had superbowl add, hard to be more legit than that. If anyone we should blame FTX team and government, no one else.

It is one thing to blame influencers or celebrities that promote some random shitcoin especially if they participate in pump and dump, but blaming now people that just were in TV add of something that was supposedly legal, highly regulated and very popular business at the time seems silly.

Some actors, musicans or sportmen aren't financial experts to be able spot that FTX was one big scam, especially if real financial experts also weren't able to spot anything. Yeah, their marketing and legal teams or menagers are more likely to blame, but also if government and literally no one else was able to see through FTX back then why would some menager that just supposed to approve add contract should? They aren't supposed to check if every company they cooperate with is legit in every aspect. They do not check in the lab if fastfood their actor promote is healthy enough, or if some car sport team promote is really best car. They just assume regulators did for them. In normal legal system you have 100% right to assume legal business and legally existing company do everything they should do according to law. If they are legal not you are to blame for anything they do, but only them and people from some branch of government that are supposed to control and approve them.

Doctor or dentist in the add also have no medical knowledge, he is just actor, imagine blaming him instead of multibilion big pharma company or regulators that aproved some medicine. I know it is so trendy to blame someone rich and popular but come on they are just paid actors in the add. Every adult should know no one in any add is saying truth. They say what they got to say. Promoting things is just part of being famous, most likely no matter if you actually want or not. Most often such things are part of your contract. If you are sportmen you can't just say no to add from official sponsor of your team. If FTX was one, and they were cause they literally had superbowl add they were just another thing to promote no different than any other one.

Easy to blame people now with current knowledge, but did you back then? Nope, we all loved FTX too. I remember I had no idea what FTX was, but after superbowl add I was amazed by them, cause they promoted crypto to tens millions of people. I couldn't imagine something not legit could be on something so important as superbowl add.
