During this bear market, we are seeing tons and tons of crypto exchanges shutting down. One of the biggest mistakes we see as a firm is folks not grabbing their transaction data when they can.
Grabbing that data now is going to save you a ton of headache come tax time. Most exchanges after they shut down will lock you out from getting your data. If you see any news of an exchange filing for bankruptcy or even if you plan on not using an exchange anymore, ALWAYS download your transaction data.
