I've long been looking to make an entry into Solana, and was eyeing deploying my first 1/3 of my target investment into Solana back when it was $40 just a few days ago - but people warned me against buying after such a pump. Now its at $54.
Is it dumb to just deploy that first 1/3 now at $54 as a "shield" against FOMO (so that if the price seriously just keeps shooting up from here at least I have SOMETHING in Sol)?
I'm thinking if SOL does draw-down from $54, I can start averaging down - or deploying my other 2/3 when SOL is on sale.
Is this a sensible strategy, or should I wait for a much clearer drawdown? I keep messing up the timing of entries in crypto - having hesitated entering into BTC right before it shot up drastically above 19k back in 2020 while waiting for a pullback to enter. I've been scarred, so I don't want to miss the boat.
