During the Bull market, I introduced all my friends and family to crypto, here's where they are at...

Just like the title says, introduced all my friends and family to the crypto scene back in April when the market was rocketing. Reddit says to never mix friends, family and crypto but crypto was changing my life so I had to give everyone around me the same chance at a new life.

On average, anyone I introduced into the scene was given 2 BNB to get them started. I didn't want anyone starting with their own investment. Looking back, 2 BNB priced at $500-600 was maybe a little generous but I hit so big on such a small investment I really didn't think twice about it.

Here's a summary of how everyone made out.

Best Friend Brother - This was the first person I shared my position with. He was immediately interested and wanted to get involved. He's a bit of a loose cannon so I was a little worried he'd connect his bank account and yolo. He ended up turning the 2 BNB into about $15,000 USD betting on the shitcoin Saturna. He then lost a few BNB on other plays before walking away happy. He works 14 days on and 2 days off so he doesn't have much free time. He says he'll play around with crypto when it's hot again.

My Best Friend - My best friend is not very good with money so I stressed to him not to invest his own funds. Again, 2 BNB was given to him and he promptly invested in a shitcoin called SuperDoge that he found. He missed the hype on SuperDoge unfortunately. Once I convinced him to pull his money, he swapped it to SlamToken. If he had left his money alone at this point he would have been well off (Slam is a gem on the BSC network btw). Instead he got impatient with SLAM and moved into Safemoon. Keep in mind that all of these shitcoin buy and sells have huge taxes on the transactions. He was literally pissing away his money doing these impatient buy and sells. He's currently still invested in Safemoon and is DCA'ing fiat in as well. I can't convince him the project won't make him rich. He's adamant he's retiring off this one day. I would say this friend is down $2000-4000 USD if I had to guess.

2 Work Colleagues - The one place I actually tried my best to keep quiet about crypto was at work. I did however cross paths with 2 guys that were messing around with crypto here and there. I helped educate them about the shitcoin scene (this is when dxsale wasn't 99% scams) and we chatted crypto each day for a few weeks. Work friend 1 wasn't interested in following the market. He's a blue collar boy and just wanted to buy Doge and get rich (smh). He bought very close to ATH and still holds his $500 bag. He quickly lost interest during the big dip and hasn't talked about crypto since. I know he still holds his doge bag.

My other friend was actually approaching things differently. He was reading about AMM's, learning about different coins, etc. Unfortunately he ended up losing all his funds in 2 different situations of sending money to the wrong wallet. The first was BNB being sent as ERC-20 and the other was sending MATIC to the wrong network. I was actually pissed with him for being so careless. I had no sympathy and made it clear crypto wasn't for him if he wasn't willing to confirm details prior to sending money. Idiot move. I was upset. I think he ended up grabbing another bag of MATIC and has since backed away from crypto hoping it moons in the next 5-10 years.

My Dad - It didn't take much convincing to get my dad involved. He's always read about crypto in the news and has been intrigued. He's also an angry little fella and doesn't like the government too much so he was all about getting away from Fiat. We didn't go crazy. The 2 BNB like everyone else. We ended up buying him CAKE near ATH and he did a YOLO into Safe Galaxy a few days later. He's DCA'ing into bitcoin weekly. His CAKE is down huge but should recover. Safe Galaxy switches to Galaxy Protocol today so he might make his money back but so far that investment is down big.

Older Sister - My older sister isn't very techy and I don't believe she manages any finances in her household. I still told her about my crypto success and she asked me to speak with her husband. My brother in law is still reading about crypto to this day but hasn't invested a dime. He's adamant the tech is very early and he can still catch the ship to the moon once he's done doing his own research. Ya'll would be very proud of him :) This sister didn't want 2 BNB. I don't think she understood what I was offering.

Younger Sister - Much like my father, my younger sister is not a big fan of the government. This was enough motivation to get her instantly intrigued by crypto and the idea of fiat being replaced. 2 BNB was given to this sister and within a few days she had it converted to Monero. I haven't spoke to her much in the past month but last we spoke, she had spread her holdings across 3 privacy coins. She feels privacy coins will be the future of crypto. I don't necessarily agree but it's cool to see she's DYOR and investing in something that isn't the standard banking system.

Brother in Law - My one brother in law is a champ. He's such a good person and even better dad. He has a litter of kids and doesn't have time to mess with crypto. I ended up setting a Wallet up on my wife's phone and we moved 3 BNB into it during the peak. I also invested some of it into some shitcoin plays. In the end, we doubled his money, ended up buying them a new washer and dryer for the house and I still have a small moon bag for him that he doesn't know about! Maybe one day I can pay off his mortgage :)

Well folks, I think that's it. At the end of the day, the only people still playing with crypto during this downtrend are myself and my brother. Everyone else has lost interest or backed out completely. My dad is DCA'ing and everyone else has moved on. I'm not saying to tell your friends and family about crypto.
