Ok I know this seems weird but I want to find out who pays the energy cost of a bitcoin transaction? Online it says 1 bitcoin transaction on bitcoins uses 1250kwh of energy is equivalent to a households monthly use. Surely that’s false otherwise the feasibility of bitcoin adoption world wide is out of the window. I have done the math and assuming 165milion people in the USA have invested in stocks if they where to add bitcoin to there portfolio and add more each Month is would use 2475 TWh wich is 50% of current usage and this doesn’t even account for selling or using btc to make purchases.
