Enough with the Doomsday posting. We are nowhere in the same universe as 2018.

In 2018 there were nearly zero usable crypto apps on the market. You read that right.

Just four years ago there were nearly zero usable crypto apps. Defi, NFTs, borrowing, lending, yield farming, even staking were all mere wishful thinking the last time the market went into a multi-year bear market.

If you've gotten into crypto within the past year+ it's easy to take for granted that all these things have always been here.

What the above means is that there were nearly zero ACTUAL crypto users. There was nobody making a living playing Axie Infinity, there were no artists making life-changing money selling NFTs they otherwise couldn't have sold, there were no opportunities to earn more than your bank's paltry saving's rate.

The progress made in crypto in the last couple of years is mind-numbing and I don't think anyone has appropriately priced it in yet.

There are now actual institutions(and countries!) with a vested interest in crypto succeeding. There are billions of dollars of funding pouring into the space to create the next big thing.

I know it's a meme, but this time is much, much different than the last time.

For fuck's sake, people in Turkey are buying Bitcoin and stablecoins to survive inflation of the Lira.

I have no idea if we're going into a multi-year bear market or not. Macro factors like China, inflation, war, more covid variants could combine to create a hostile environment for "risk-on" assets.

I DO know, however, that this shit is going to change the world. There is more energy behind crypto than any other sector, the energy is a positive force in the world, and the builders are going to keep building.

What more can you ask for?
