Erc1155 but with multiple artworks in 1 token?

My apologies if this question is dumb, because i could not find the answer elsewhere. I was wondering if it was possible to create "batches" of tokens that include different artworks. So with 721 you can create an NFT project that has multiple artworks and sell those as tokens, would that be possible within 1155 too? So Gen1 of the project would be 100 pieces that all have different pieces of art attatched, then Gen2 would be released with the same contract but a batch of different art pieces for each buyer. Would that be possible in 1155 or would it then be recommended to release a separate 721 contract for each instead?
