ERC20 or BEP20 for coin transfer?

Hi everyone, I am currently moving my coins from Coinspot over to Binance and have noticed quite high fees with a couple of them (LINK and MATIC). However, it gives me the option to send over BEP20 instead of default ERC20, BEP20 being far cheaper. Can I send these coins over BEP20 and is there any downfalls?

Also, the minimum transfer amount for Kusama is 1KSM. I only have 0.7KSM, whats the best way to send this without purchasing the remaining 0.3KSM?
