Ethereum one year ago

I'm making a software tool that lists the price of Ethereum both today and one year ago to compare the two.

The point here is to have easily-accessible snapshots of the price, allow people to make a strong point with their heathen nocoiner friends by sharing the webpage with them, etc. Obviously, you can do this with coinmarketcap or bitinfocharts if you input the date range, I just wanted to

1: make this more streamlined and shareable

2: make a tool for fun and to contribute to the community

It's occurred to me that I could include a date range feature while I'm at it -- that would allow people to compare the price on any two days in the past. Does that sound like a helpful feature, or does it kind of defeat the purpose of having something that just shows the price one year ago and nothing else?
