Ethereum POS problem - it seems many individuals feel ethereum is not decentralized because of Coinbase and Kraken having such a large share. Would the Verge upgrade put these doubts to rest?

I have been seeing a lot of FUD recently regarding many individual stating how most processing, more than 40% of transactions and adding new blocks are happening on two addresses.

It’s possible this is because of the exchanges noted above allow simplified staking for its users.

My question is: following the Verge upgrade, assuming that it will take far less resources to run, would it be easier for anyone to run an ethereum node?
