Everyone says crypto is gambling, but if you really believe in it then isn't it just an investment

Lots of people say crypto is gambling but if you really believe in it then isn't it just an investment. There seems to be 2 different types of peoples on here, some really believe in the tech and believe its a real investment, no different than investing in a property or gold, and some people think of crypto like a casino. I feel like those who think of crypto that way don't really believe in its future and are here more for the quick pump and dumps. I personally see crypto as equivalent to investing early into a companies stock, I think it has a long future ahead and don't really consider it as much of a gamble especially given it has survived everything that has been thrown at it. I'm interested to know if the rest of you see it as a gambling or investing.
