Everyone says they hate those (fake) "I am from poor country, moons helped to build hospital for whole village" posts - why do they still get upvoted?

Right now, the hottest post on this sub (I won't link it because I don't want anyone to go downvote it after seeing this post) is pretty much: hi, I'm from some third world country, I just found out that X moons are as much as the minimum wage, so I will start moon farming now. It has several hundred upvotes.

Two things: first, I thought self-stories now needed to be 1) relevant and 2) required proof? I had a post deleted in the past because of that (and it was just about my experience with Coinbase Earn, nothing ludicrous). Second, why do people upvote that? So, so often I see people complaining about these posts, and rightly so!

Honestly, do we want to incentivize that super annoying type of moon farming?
