Everything about banks is so arrogant!

Banks are the most arrogant industry on earth.

When you walk in to any branch of any bank in any country on earth the story is always the same.

No one gives a f*ck, no one assists you, you need to find some ticketing machine and sit down. If theres no seats then you can stand the entire time. The staff purposfully work slower than sloths. If you have been waiting for your ticket to get called for an hour and a half because its busy no one gives a shit. While you're waiting staff will walk past you to go on their 2 hour lunch break without even acknowledging you.

Finally your ticket gets called and you sit down to a miserable middle aged lady looking at you waiting for you to say something. Theres no "hello, how are you, how can I help you today" just a blank arrogant face staring at you with disdain.

You get your issue sorted with zero emotion, no smiles, no conversation, the bank agent gives you what you came for then looks over your shoulder as if to say " you can f*ck off now".

And it isn't just the staff and the vibe inside bank branches that is disgusting and arrogant, its the entire banking industry. There is just this sense that you are a piece of shit because you need a bank account and the bank doesnt have to do anything to serve you because you are stuck needing them whether you like it or not.

Then theres the banking apps which are absolutely hopeless, literally worse than buggy government services apps. Why? because banks dont give a shit about customer service. It is 2024 and they still expect you to call them on a freaking telephone to sort your issue out, and if you are overseas get ready to pay international landline charges while you are put on hold for an hour.

The whole banking experience is absolutely disgusting. Walking into a bank branch feels like walking into the most horrendous inefficient depressing government services facility like the DMV.

The faster these dinosaurs go out of business like blockbuster in the 2000s the better. Hopefully the 2020s is the decade where banks dissapear.

I cannot wait for a world where all you need no matter where you are on earth is a full-suite lightning wallet.
